Occupational Health and Safety at Work

Responsibility for securing harmful and safe work conditions and safeguarding physical and mental health of all employees represents primarily a legal obligation. Indisputable is also that a concern over employees’ health and safety directly reflects on individual and organizational success, operation costs and upholding of human resources potential.
At Panonske TE-TO, employees are being introduced with potential risks at work through regular training sessions. Appropriate personal protective equipment is provided, along with other necessary protection measures. Due to characteristics of Panonske TE-TO’s scope of work, certain job positions, which bear highest risk to human health, are separately treated, complementing all related regulations in use. Holders of such job positions undergo measures of a special, reinforced or additional protection, in addition to general protection measures applied to all employees.
Two concrete projects planned for 2010 indicate that we are heading in the right direction – mandatory physical examination of all employees and reconstruction and modernization of the fire protection system.
However, the mere fulfillment of legal requirements is not the boundary at which Panonske TE-TO conclude its activities. We demonstrate our commitment to health protection and safety of all employees and other interested parties by introducing the OHSAS 18001 system. Gradual, but comprehensive implementation of standards arising from this system provide Panonske TE-TO with the possibility of risk management in the field of health protection and safety at work in order to eliminate them or bring them down to a minimum.
