TPP-HP Novi Sad is the largest of the three power plants of the business organization.

Basic Information

TPP-HP Novi Sad is the largest of the three power plants of the business organization. It is located in the northern industrial zone, on the Danube river bank, only 5 km from the city centre. Installed capacity of the annual production of electric energy amounts up to 1.500.000 MWh. It is characterized by a fast start-up when the need exists and the supply of peak, electrical energy.

TPP-HP Novi Sad provides thermal energy to the district heating system of Novi Sad, with which it is connected via hot-water pipeline, 3,2 km long and of 900 mm diameter. It participates in heating of the city’s 50.000 residential and business units, which represents over 60% of the total consumers in district heating system of Novi Sad. Available capacities are sufficient to supply existing, but also designed, future requirements of Novi Sad in regards to heating.

  • nominal electric power 110 MW
  • maximum electric power 120 MW
  • thermal capacity for heating 204 MWt.

Natural gas or fuel oil are used as fuel.
